Well, MSFT claims that W2K is a "better server" than Linux too. It's the same claim that IBM, HWP, and CPQ also make for their proprietary Unix variants. Let me guess. MSFT, IBM, HWP, and CPQ's claims are false, but SUNW's are correct, right?

This is an inconsistent position to hold. If it is possible to be "better than Linux" (in the sense of being able to maintain and/or grow share) then any company with sufficient financial, technical, and marketing resources should be able to find this key. If they can't, then neither can SUNW and it is only a question of when rather than if Linux rolls over Solaris too.
