Perhaps it indicates they need the new CEO that they have put in place. I was gratified to hear him speak of "shareholder value" during the conference call. IBM execs. may not understand everything, but a subordinate of Lou Gerstner will likely get the PR right, including sure-to-be-understood earnings reports.

Amen. This company certainly needs to communicate with analysts and shareholders in a better manner. I am hoping that gloff is right - the new CEO will bring a much needed solution to this problem. Nice price action today. I would like to see a sustained move before I believe the stock is fixed, but today was refreshing. It looks like the bulk of purchasers were institutional today: thomsoninvest.net Again, I am happy to eat my angry words from yesterday evening. ham
