Thanks everyone for the clarification on licensing/royalties w/regard to Spinco/Qualcomm.

I still don't completely get it how this affects Qualcomm's future earnings, market cap, stock price, etc. I get it that anyone owning shares in Qualcomm now will eventually have shares in both Q and Spinco, and the synergy between two gorillas could make the value of the combo powerful indeed. All I can figure is that it should be interesting watching what happens with the Q share price as the market tries to value a company that will eventually be two companies, splitting the revenues but possibly creating two monsters instead of one.
