I think they should have a trial of several software to evaluate before any decisions are made. As you know, object technology is almost passe'. The difficulties are not one on one marketing.

A real funny story can illustrate the point. I was at Stop and Shop supermarket, when a well to do woman ordered and got 6 packages of beef bones with barrow. I ask her what is she going to do with so much bones. She said she has a big dog. We all know bones are for soup base. The object technology generators can never predict when she will lose her dog and the supermarket will lose a sale. Object technology software is good for manufacturing customers, who has steady raw material needs. Consumers are fickle.

The basic theme of running a good store is; if the merchandise does not sell at all in two weeks, you have to have a clearance. Cash is king! So, software such as SAP will have to program for what can not sell fast and liquidate them. Not what will sell good and have the buyer get more for the stores. And each store sell to different group of income per capita, culture and taste. Each store is a different battle ground. You can waste a lot of time and money to teach software people how to run a store. Some day, the software people can teach AMES how to use their software well, but that day is not here nor now.

So, invest wisely, time and money. Let these people and others prove that they can help you make money.
