Excellent reading Mike.

there are too many ways to represent numbers. SUNW has $1.8 billion worth of 'backlog'. Dell has $? worth of backlog. Dell won't report backlog. In speaking with management at the ASM, however, they state its more than SUNW if they did report. But, SUNW gets mileage out of 'backlog'.

There are 6.2 billion people on the earth. by 2010, there are expected to be 10 billion. How does this figure into Dell's sales model? nearly 400 million new persons a year, nearly 2X the population of the U.S. added each year.
