rudedog appreciated your insight in what/how Dell is re-directing their efforts. I personally view Dell's management as doing everything towards increasing their box (pc, workstation, server, NAS, notebook, HH etc) sales, and they do it very very well. If they make additional money in and by the process well that's ok too. But I tend to think their main goal is to grow their basic WINTEL box business.

The internet has proven to be a tool for them to use both as a means and cause to increase their box sales.

If the sales person wins a door prize while courting a client it's all the better as long as they still get the sale!

The point is Dell never lost their focus on their main business no matter what the so called experts said or say about the "PC" ! Only Wall St. paid attention to them. What's important is Dell just keep on being Dell. Hopefully they will be rewarded handsomely for keeping on keeping on?

Thanks again.
