Buy puts before earnings annoucements??

Tim,

Or go to cash? I am inclined to just sit back...nothing makes very good sense right now. One minute the market is tanking, the next its going up.

Last nite, F5, one of my stocks, came out with one of the least bullish reports of all my stocks this quarter. Went to after hours to sell but it had already dropped 10 pts and I was in the red. Decided since it was a small position, I would sit it out until it recovered. Today its up 3 from where it closed yesterday, not in AH but yesterday at 4 PM. Go figure?!!

My point is that the market feels very irrational, and sitting out may be the best strategy.

What do you think?
