One reason Cree is down so much is that in some quarters it is considered a "chip" company. While it does produce a semiconductor, I don't know that it is a "chip" company as the industry generally understand its. Certainly its product demand charactoristics are totally different than traditional semiconductor stocks.

Anyway, when LSI only met earnings and today's little chip debacle began, Cree got swept along. I expect some recovery late today with buying in anticipation of the good earnings tomorrow. Hey, just look at this as a buying opportunity of the best type....the stock went down for all the wrong reasons.
