I know this is not Aware's technology, but it is more good news on G.Lite.

Digicom Systems, Inc. Collaborates With SingTel Magix to Deploy A User-Installable DSL CPE
Deployment of DSL USB Modem 7410 Reflects Digicom's Continuing Growth in Asian Market
MILPITAS, Calif., July 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Digicom Systems, Inc., a subsidiary of Creative Technology Ltd. (Nasdaq: CREAF - news), today announced that SingTel Magix, a leading broadband service provider in Singapore, has selected Digicom's DSL USB modem, model 7410, for its ADSL G.lite deployment in Singapore's consumer and small office markets. This move reflects Digicom's continuing growth in the Asian market.

Digicom's DSL USB modem, based on Centillium's Optimizer(TM) chipset, is part of a family of broadband modems marketed under the Blaster® brand. This cost-effective and user-friendly 7410 is the first user-installable G.lite modem deployed in Singapore. Consumers are now able to go online to www.blastershop.com/singapore to purchase the value-priced DSL modem and sign up for the DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) service with SingTel. Users can then set up the DSL modem through a few short installation steps and reap the benefits of high speed Internet access.

``We've found Digicom's DSL USB modem to be user-friendly and affordable. It allows users to replace the traditional analog modems, and allows SingTel Magix to provide DSL services at an affordable price with a broadband modem that is easier for non-technical users to install and use,'' said Mr. Leong Shin Loong, CEO (Multimedia), SingTel.

``As a non-technical and first-time broadband user, I have been able to jump onto the broadband bandwagon easily. The user-friendly, hot-pluggable and plug-and-play features on Digicom's 7410 have made its installation a hassle-free experience,'' said Mr. Tan Ngaip Koon. ``The modem's affordability has also made it a cost-effective investment for home users, such as myself. Thanks to the modem and SingTel Magix's reliability as a broadband service provider, I have since been enjoying a smooth broadband surfing experience without worrying about dial-ups or busy signals.''

``SingTel Magix is one of the largest broadband service providers in Asia,'' said Patrick Ang, president and CEO at Digicom. ``The partnership with SingTel Magix enables us to deliver the first end-to-end DSL G.lite service in Singapore. Furthermore, the ease-of-product-installation feature makes it possible for SingTel Magix to deploy high bandwidth connection without the occurrence of installation and service charges.''

The Fool proves to be just that. If you listened to the Aware CC they missed something....

On the risk side, investors should keep in mind that the company is still small -- and dependent on a few customers, claiming only seven overall. The bulk of the company's royalties is from Analog Devices, and five customers each account for more than 10% of Aware's revenues. A loss of any of them would probably cause a significant hit to the company's earnings.

If I heard correctly...and I'm sure I did...the CEO said they have NINE customers ( btw. I think Elroy has correctly I.D.ed 8 of them) with seven providing revenue accounted for in Q2. Due to certain benchmarks in their contracts a customer may not be required to pay fees in a particular quarter. Also he said seven customers paid fees on ten chipset projects (deals) in Q2.

Also, if Aware lost a 10% revenue contributing customer or two it is very possible another customer could cover that loss with increased and/or new shipments of chipset. It isn't wise...IMO...to think Aware will be successful in very chipset design.

In announcing AMD as a customer it is my thinking there could very well be product either ready to ship or already being shipped....thus we could see it show up on the bottom line in the next earnings report.

Just my thinking and it maybe worth just what you paid for it. <g>
