i'm more inclined to look at MZM and M3 as they are broader aggregates...they have recently shown signs of re-acceleration after flattening out for a while.

if indeed money supply growth begins to flatten or god forbid contract, you'll know that a recession is just around the corner - because it will signal that credit expansion has slowed, and without accelerating credit expansion the bubble is doomed - and with it the economy.
