Also, I believe all of the bad stuff is on the table, limiting the downside.

Sheesh, seems like bad stuff comes out just about every week. Bad stuff or no stuff. Deep down, MF, do you REALLY believe this? Or just hoping out loud? As an ex shareholder, I have NO confidence.

Your recommendation on NOK was interesting. Do you really expect people to buy ANYTHING in today's climate much less day trade NOK on a rumor? Or is this a pump for NOK so you can dump just before earnings like you just said you did with LU? What was your motivation for that comment?

Hmmmm........ Sometimes MF you can be confusing.

Your post saying that LUCY might even beat the street by a nickle caused me to buy a little back after I'd just readjusted a day or so before your post. I should have stayed where I was and not taken the bait. I'll be waiting a long time to make up the loss of that little maneuver.

And if at the same time back in May when you bought back into NT in the 50's you'd have bought long SUNW, JDSU and even CSCO you'd be making up for lost time. Those stocks have all done well since then while LUCY, who was in the mid 50's then (54 to 57) has since popped prior to earnings and then pooped all over the place since that darling announcement.

When a stock closes the day before earnings at 64 1/2 and then starts the next day before the market opens with a lousy scenario announcement for the coming two quarters, prompting all the privileged big money guys to have their computers on line with mouse pointers on the "sell" box...the little guy just blinks in amazement as he looks at an opening price to start the day at around 54 1/4. There ain't much a body can do!

I'll have to stay long with what I have in this until she comes back and then I'm pretty sure I'll be gettin' while the gettin' is good. I'm surprised that we've slid this far down, with even a loss for today. The sharks are still nibbling away at this bait fish, making sure they ain't gettin' hooked.

As for the spin-off, maybe the STREET will just tear everything down like they did LUCY's old Mom....AT&T when they put the wireless stock on the market (AWE). It hardly popped at all as IPO's are prone to do. That stock is just about at what it was offered for after falling quite a bit from a high of somewhere in the low 30's and T herself has slid down to the low 30's. Put the two together and what have you got. Probably nothing more than what you had before the move.

The same thing could happen here. When the dust settles around old LUCY, Avaya, and still to be named Microelectronics...it could easily be a wash...HAPPY INVESTING!!! and glad to hear someone is making a little profit.....ANON

Mr. Fun, It certainly looks like it is increasingly difficult to estimate where the big guys are heading. Sorry for your losses in NOK. tp
