Hi George the Greek; It all boils down to whether or not Rambus has the ability to collect significant royalties on SDRAM and DDR SDRAM. My guess is that this will not happen, but I didn't expect Hitachi or Toshiba to agree either. That RDRAM is dead (except as a high cost boutique memory) should now be clear to everyone in industry, even the managers.

It is kind of interesting that three pieces of bad news for RDRAM (not necessarily RMBS) arrived within 24 hours:
(1) Reports of Intel support for P4 SDRAM and DDR.
(2) ALi sampling DDR chipsets.
(3) Nvidia rumored to be designing DDR chipsets.

On the other hand, we have good news from Rambus management. Something to the effect that "nothing has chnaged."
