It's comparing apples and oranges. It also assumes there is only one real way to market and sell a product. It assumes there should be no opportunity to buy a PC off the shelf. If your PC breaks down and you need to replace it, you should keep a spare one or wait for them to build it after you order it. If it needs repaired, you ship it back to them, and wait out the repair and shopping time. That's a little tough for small business to cope with. It appears to be good for the seller, but not for the customer IMHO. In all honesty, how many of you can run your business like that?
