The downside is I am less deversified and If AMD stays down all year I will take a loss. If AMD crashes from here (something I consider unlikely) I will probably sell all my shares and buy back the short '03 120 Leap call. I might buy an '02 call or, if my options privileges get increased by then, sell a put or 2.

I don't think you will take a loss....it looks like AMD is in a trading range from the mid 70's to the mid 90's. If so I will wait to buy more (if then) in the 90's when it breaks out on strong volume. For the meantime, with the split coming, I think I have enough in my portfolio.

BTW I saw your post re FFIV which explains the reason for the big increase today. Where did you find that info? I couldn't find it with any of my news sources.

edit: Never mind...I just checked CBS Marketwatch and saw it there. Leave it to a Seattle company to be this anal with reporting earnings. ;~))
