If I remember correctly, the outfit is private, however they appeared to have a large percentage of their effort funded by U S Government R & D Contracts Projects???

Zeev --- isn't Battelle non-profit? --- if it is, that would be the reason they can't give out options or share profits in other ways. I'm guessing that a private company could offer its employees options on stock in the company -- but being private, the stock would not be very liquid -- only a private market.
