HO HO! "Crash" Lewis used the "Golden Toilets" Vignette from the WSJ in the PB market summary today:

prudentbear.com

"Finally, there was an article in the Wall Street Journal today entitled
"Factory Handles Excess Rubles" that discusses what happens when
you print too much money. It’s worth a read. Somebody should help
out Uncle Al and send him a copy. I found this quote from a Russian
particularly poignant:

"Marx and Lenin predicted we wouldn't need gold and would one day
make toilets out of it," says Valery Perfilov, director of a complex of
dusty museums in the center of town dedicated to Lenin. "We don't
have golden toilets yet, but we have roofs covered with money. Who
knows what might happen next?"

Who knows, indeed?
