Short interest report is out. Interesting that the IBD article on Sunrise comes out the morning before the short interest report, and only two weeks before the company reports orders for their machines. Well anyway, short interest is UP to 10.946 million shares, from 10.431 million last month. This covers trades that settled up to July 14th, so includes the first five days of trading during the post FDA approval sell-off. A lot of these short shares are likely involved in hedging strategies against convertible securities Sunrise has sold to raise capital, but nonetheless, there is a large naked short position out there.
