Addi:

If you want to use Jan 95 as the start date, then use Jan 99 as the end date. You could have bought LSI at 9.59 on 3 Jan 95 and sold it at 9.75 on 5 Jan 99 for a grand profit of 16 CENTS per share! If you moved the window to Jul 95 - Jul 00, you will find that it was 24.50 on Jul 26, 95 and is 32 and change today. As far as returns go, that is T-bill territory.

Go check the numbers for yourself. True, when you use the 5 and 1/2 year timeframe, you get a 25% annualized return. That only underlines my point that this is not one of those buy-and-hold stocks. This is a deep cyclical and needs to be treated as such.
