SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- 3Com late Thursday will finally distribute 532 million Palm, Inc. shares to its shareholders on record as of close of market that day.

Advalorem:

Sounds like things are getting tighter on the components front. I hope that Bruner's forward guidance for Q1/Q2 was conservatively based on committed parts supplies, so they at least meet the guidance and maybe have some upside surprise if they can get more.

But bigger fish than PALM are having problems too, like NOK, ERICY, A, etc., so I guess there's the possibility that some of PALM's commitments from suppliers may get reneged on, or that they may have to pay a premium to get what they want.

A big test for the fledgling company for sure.
