<if you want to perform, this market *forces you* to buy these empty shells and intergalactic IPOs >

Hey I got to disagree with that. By no means is anyone forced to buy anything. They choose to gamble with that junk. They choose to believe in the piling on higher. And piling out/short lower. They choose to accept the inherent risks. They choose to daily live on the edge. They truly believe they can get out before the last fool piles in.
Chasing performance is a fools game.

One doesn't need to chase these such wild stocks to trade successfully and profitably. One needs to focus on the movement of established companies and trade a well researched population of these as opportunities present themselves. I certainly have no idea what anyones goals are, nor what income they require. But it would seem to me that most anyone could easily be happy walking away each day with $1,000 profit on average. That can be easily accomplished by trading normal companies which carry reduced risks of huge losses. For example today: It was a terrible day, but a few well placed trades on LRCX, KEM, GBLX could have made the day. And did.

I personally get no excitement out of "winning" 20K on a big longshot today and then having 19 of it taken back tomorrow. I'll take my performance slow and steady each day, with minimal risk.

Just a thought. For whatever its worth.
