KMT - I think weightlifting may be the most difficult activity to measure accurately, but yes, there is an algorithm for it. I think it depends even more than usual on the user reporting accurately exactly what he or she was doing. A little help, Offie, Mads or Equalizzer?

Hi KMT,
Yes, it works, and the CT1's Calorie Expenditure scale
can rate it on two scales of weight workout with
free weights, nautilus etc. A 6' 42 year old man weighing 170 lbs,
for instance, will burn 110 calories on a light
to moderate 30 minute session. Same person doing vigorous
power lifting and workout would burn about double that.
