If this is accurate, it is another apparent confirmation of what President of Lucent Wireless division indicated in May. The standard for data in W-CDMA is not set. This seems even worse - there is no standard because it don't work!

Could this be what Dr. Viterbi, et al figured out a long time ago and decided on the separate data channel / HDR approach?
