Yes and no. 3G is an incremental step and thus doesn't really have to do much to get through the pre-chasm and chasm stages in the way that an unfamiliar technology does, despite being a large enough quantum leap that it enables new possibilities and thus qualifies for a tornado of its own. Sort of a chasm with a bridge?
