Gene, I appreciate your response. I did read your comments on options specialists and understand. I will have to check with my broker in the morning because I thought they were saying the 'locked/crossed' market was the stock, which means Nas. MM's I assume. I understand about JDSU and today's craziness towards the end; nevertheless, as I understand it 'locked/crossed' means something more than just heavy volume etc. and its attendant woes.

Gene, On a thinly traded Nasdaq stock, what is the allowable % spread between bid/ask. I have seen 5% and more. Welcome to SI.
