I suspect that many of the people who are worried about all aspects of self install and who are thinking "it can't be done" have zip point squat or very little training and experience in anything to do with electronics. This includes electronics installation, testing, troubleshooting and repair.

No one has said it can't be done. People are skeptical of the long term benefits. The concern isn't the electronics, it's the noise introduced by poor installations. A good probability exists that self installs will cause problems for all users, not just the user doing the self install. If that occurs it is highly likely to cause long term damage to the reputation of both ATHM and the MSO that allows the self install.

I infer from those of you proposing the "balls to the wall" approach is that they are growing impatient holding this dog of a stock and are desperate for a way out. I understand your concern for doing what ever it takes to get the stock price up, but I urge you to be patient and consider the long term view:
