SUSIE924...

I have never heard of a firm taking 6 weeks to figure out an erroneous trade. In professional arenas, trade problems are usually sorted out the next day and sometimes within a week (at the longest).

I am guessing what happened to you was something the accountants caught and NOT the back office that handles trade problems.

In any case, it is a good thing you didnt go out and spend that money as you clearly realized it was an error. HOWEVER, I do feel that your broker should compensate you with a bunch of free trades or something for the inconvenience and incompetence (just my opinion though).

Thanks for the post,

-- Gene
