Looks like a moot point at this juncture. Compaq has high hopes for its Alpha Wildfire, and the Intel based servers sales are growing fast. Traditional Tandem "non-stop" servers continue to sell well powering things like the NASDAQ. Their server plate full and the decision of no Tru64 on Itanium looks like a done deal.
