Also, regarding the Sledge rumor, I tend to agree that the "other surprises" that Jerry mentioned about the Mustang could well be 64 bit extensions. Software optimized for Sledge could be backward compatible with Mustang, and visa-versa. Pravin.

Pravin I think you are reading too much into it. AMD would deny the non-official news because of the legal issues (I am not sure of details). Couple of years back, after some rumors about cpwq and amd, CPQ announced that they are not using amd anymore nor they have any plan to use as of that time. Two days later they came up with brand new amd designs. PR is usually kept in the dark so they can may any statements they want without legal problems, I think. On another hand I would say it one more time that I do not believe in SH this year - just sounds too good to be true and you know what they say about too good to be true Regards -Albert
