Paul, RE: It has to do with security and authentication of medical documents (radiology, in this case) that need to be transferred "at Internet speed". Good catch, the trend is to have secure transactions on possibly a majority of transfers of information over the internet (speed permitting (overhead)). Hardware which supports this type of transactions will be left standing in the future hardware battles. Surprisingly current server hardware sellers don't talk about it, reasons? your guess is as good as mine. Mula
