I've no idea how the issue came up, but I did a fair amount of research into the subject when my son was born. Circumcision was urged; I didn't see any point in cutting anything off unless there was a compelling reason to do so. Nothing I found suggested any such reason; he remains uncircumcised. Here is where it started, Solon asked me... and there is my answer. As usual, Average Joe, provides either no supporting evidence, or as in this case, evidence that refutes his statement. LOL As for what you concluded, I tend to agree, the statement of policy from the American Academy of Pediatrics (reproduced in the above URL, seem to indicate, that it should be an "individual choice" --actually, it is more like the choice made by the parents.) Although Solon indicated that there was no religious written reference that supported or promoted the regular circumcision of babies, in his last statement he indicated that: Message 14115455 (God was actually going to kill Moses because his son was not circumcised????! What a strict Godparent!). Hmmm to me, it sounds he found his own answer. That statement seems it would have given enough "motivation" for the zombies to start cutting off "tube sirloin tips" LOL...
