ACTV'S SPOTON ROSTER GROWING

With every passing day, it seems ACTV subsidiary Digital ADCO adds another name to the plump roster of companies fancying its SpotOn interactive digital TV advertising service. Starcom Worldwide is the latest company to hop on the SpotOn bandwagon.
Starcom clients are expected to join other SpotOn affiliates in a charter program planned for the service later this year. Depending on the preliminary results of the program, Starcom and Digital ADCO could begin delivering the SpotOn service to Starcom clients.
Should Starcom employ SpotOn, the company could offer its clients a vehicle for delivering targeted messages to each addressable digital set- top terminal.
Additional features of SpotOn include enabling viewers to choose television spots of interest to them, giving advertisers individualized tagging capability for each digital set- top and reporting when a particular spot was shown in each home, among others.
