Never did care for a tricycle front on hilly ground. Most of the yards are about as hilly as a pool table so the narrow fronts aren't a problem. The N's came with a wide front but the PTO's are live all the time if you don't put on a kit. You can get wide fronts for some of the old tractors but they cost more than the unit is worth.
