Are you in the financial services industry?

No, just an individual investor.

I see your logic behind averaging down but you have made an assumption that this is the bottom and I've seen nothing in the trading thus far to give justification to this position.

What if the market continues to be weak for the next 2 months and KEM continues to slide down with the market? Are you going to buy more shares after every $2 drop?

I'm not trying to tell anyone what to do or how to do it, just for the record.

Never did understand about "investing what you can afford to lose". Who can those people be who can afford to lose?

It's going to be a little tougher for KEM for a while, I'm guessing. All the good news and the announcements are out, so nothing imminent to draw attention to the stock or propel the price higher. (Not that the news/announcements have done much good so far -g-)
