lawdog, I happen to admire and respect most foreigners. I would say I have little or no xenophobia. The only area I would question is I don't like the idea of someone coming here that cannot be a productive member of our society. I highly respect the work ethic and integrity of most people I have met who immigrated here. The big exception was when Gore and Clinton, just before the 1996 election, swore many, many thousands of illegals in as citizens so they could vote for them. There was no background check or anything and I believe most of these people were perceived to be potentially good democrats as they were the less educated, less motivated types. And, many of them were criminals. But, as Gore and Clinton would say, national security or interests aside; if we can control their vote I want them here, as citizens. And, no background checks, INS, understand?
