Tejk asked:

"I am still may not be getting it. Is Dale saying that he thought S-hammer would start with a single processor core and then migrate to a dual core? Now that Drew is saying that S-hammer will start with a dual core....that's the acceleration of timetable that Dale is talking about?"

Yes. that is correct.. you got it :) Tho Dale didnt think that Sledge would start out single.. he asserted he had read reports from somewhere saying this.. I've asked him on Aces if he had any specific links or articles he could cite..

He actually would be a good guy to have on here.. I have enormous respect for him as a technical guy (he's a programmer I believe) He's just become an investor in AMD shares, and he doesnt get into silly flame wars when debating Intel vs AMD or Rambus vs DDR or etc etc.. he debates.. but does it with points and evidence.. Any of you have some of those free memberships granted to you by SI hanging around to sponser him? :) He would be an asset to this site.
