and MRVC is smoothing the initial road for them, doing things they can't do themselves - like merge AstraTerra with Jolt.

After hours now at $58 and change. Conference call is either finished or almost finished. All the news is out in the open and the stock is still down. I am sorry for worrying out loud, but I am worried about tomorrow.

re Dr. Mark Heimbuch, new CTO of Luminent, I did a quick search and found that he's an expert in tunable lasers used in WDM communications; he gave presentations in 1997 on them in conjunction with others at fiber optic conferences.

Good to have a heavyweight running the R & D!
