OT - Jim, I agree with all you say. On the sub-issue of SI, I guess my main gripe is that I paid my dues, watched SI get bought by GNET as they started to lose ground to other boards who invested more time and money (Raging Bull was just starting to get popular) and now find that rather than spend money keeping SI the top board, they continued to scrimp, then had to make the board free as a measure to try and maintain any kind of presence. So because they were too cheap, every idiot & his brother can post, often bringing some threads to the level of Yahoo. Worse, major tech stocks have no activity, and SI do nothing to contribute to get them moving. If I hadn't paid a subscription, fair enough ... but SI really is amateur hour, managed by one man & his dog. What a bunch of wallies !!

I guess this is a venting day for me - GG!!
