I think HDD represents outrageous value here. $585MM of cash, $3.4 billion of LTM revenue, strong cash flow and management that is willing to buy back its stock. I understand old-timers fears regarding some of the disk drive industry's old price competitiveness, but I believe there is a good chance things are different this time. I've worked in the high yield market and suspect SEG's new bankers will put in covenants that ensure SEG will be very focused on ST cash generation. I am very excited about the consumer electronic market and think we will have visibility regarding material shipments very shortly. And if I'm wrong and the price environment degrades sharply and for an extended period of time, I think we might lose WDC (and maybe even MXTR) which would reduce supply and bring back a better equilibrium. I agree one has to buy when there is blood in the streets.
