Mq, First we should bear in mind, that I'm a greedy ol'
man who took his $$$$ gains from QCOM, stuffed them into his pocket, and went a searchin' for more new and exciting stuff ...

During the search ...
I stumbled upon this upstart Canadian company, which is run by a bright young gentleman from Egypt.
He has a few nifty patents, and is doing his very best to create (what I take to be) a mini Qualcomm.

Also, bearing in mind that I want to quickly get very rich from stock in his company....
I submit the following links...

ofdm-forum.com
From here ... click on "members" ..

Note that there are lots of heavy duty companies (Philips, Nokia, and Ericsson for example) involved in this new forum.
Nokia has very strong presence in the forum ...
they are one of the founding members, and are leading some of the technical groups in the forum.

For sure ... they are very serious about the Fixed Wireless
business , such as Wireless Local Loops, LMDS, etc.

I would like to see Qualcomm involved as well... certainly would give me a reason to remove some of those $$$$ from my
back pocket & re-invest in the Q.

Here's an outfit that CLAIMS they will build a Cellular Network ... with Wi-Lan's Wideband Ofdm product.
Maybe ???
4gnt.com
From here ... click on "technology" ..

Lastly, here's where you'll find Wi-Lan's claims for their Wideband OFDM.
wi-lan.com

Lastly (again) .. OFDM is the technology of choice for
digital television in Europe, I believe .

Gotta go,
I'll keep looking for stuff, to excite you further.
Best,
Mardy.

Maurice - I caught an it's / its mistake.

AT&T is overblown with their 'one enormous network for everything' idea. If we want efficiency, then we will have two things happen. One will be that voice stays in it's own world and network ...

Jon (Mr. it's / its police).
