The interesting thing about the deal to me is the relationship between the NEW INSP and Broadband Partners of CHTR and RCN. The breadth of platforms from cell phone, cable, and bundled services along with the variety of services is something which has enormous potential, but frankly is quite complex. In the short term I wonder about the ability of the street to grasp the new company because the model of GNET alone was quite complex-although getting attention and coverage should hopefully improve. Assuming the deal goes through if I am not mistaken there are now arrangements with all the big portals. It will take awhile to integrate all the pieces. The only surprise to me is why GNET/RUSS/PA were seemingly willing to relinquish control so easily of a model of which was shown to be working. Yes, we got a premium, however, we traded a good portion of the year between 73 and 97 before the market-wide sell-off. At some point I believe PA will be heard from again. Given MSFT DOJ battle, geographic location of GNET, the old INSP, and MSFT, and the ties to the NEW INSP primary shareholders I will be curious to see if there are any future announcements pertaining to the new INSP and MSFT.
