I've been craving avocados, but every place I look except Costco gives me sticker shock. $2.29 for an avocado at Eatzi's, a chi-chi place that sells prepared food and upscale breads and cheeses. No way. Costco finally got some in, $4.99 for a bag of five, nice fat ones. Bought two bags, of course they all got ripe at once, so I've been forced to eat avocados for breakfast, lunch and supper. Poor, poor me.

Didn't like to kill the deer (an ugly convulsive death), but love shootin' still (handguns, but not recently). Hey, now whatcha gonna do ...

So, I chose this as matter of personal choice, freedom from the range, so to speak.
