Zach - Re: "Where does Strong Arm fit? The article mentioned Celeron as the microprocessor for the Dot Station."

Intel is targeting StronARM at portable computing applications that require LOW POWER dissipation with no need to run legacy x86 code.

Currently, Intel has design wins for Compaqs iPAQ handheld device running the new version of Windows CE.

It has been reported that both Palm Computer and Handspring have chosen Intel's upcoming StrongARM 2 CPU for their next generation handheld devices.

Intel is also using the StrongARM as the core for its 3G(Third Generation) Mobile Phone engine and is working with Mitsubishi and other Cell Phone companies to design and bring these to market over the next year or two.

Also, the StrongARM core is used as the basis for Intel's Internet Exchange Network controller card - where the small die size allowing 6 parallel cores to operate on packet streams permits an efficient processor for networking controllers such as switches and routers.
