Hey gals & guys,
your Dalsa (DSA.TO) is really a great company, now just for around $6.50 traded on the TORONTO Main Exchange (Canada) (Can-$), www.dalsa.com

This company is pretty unique in that they are the ONLY (!) pure play in CCD and CMOS chips plus high quality camera and electronics for selected vertical markets. Balance sheet is solid and besides non-cash charges from an acquisition they are solidly profitable. Gross margins already approaching 60%. The little Long term debt they still ahve is going to be eliminated very soon. Price to sales around 1.25 right now (implicitely calculated from the most recent quarterly)

acc. to their CFO (Mr. Voss) they are about to seek a NASDAQ listing over the next 2 years

To me, this seems to be THE company to play the digital camera & video revolution because it is nearly a pure play. Derives a good chunk of its revenues (my guess is 30%) from sensors plus it has solid revenues, around $50m annually. All other plays in this segment are either development stage startups lacking revenues or small operations inside corporate bellwethers like Nikon or Canon with revenue contributions of less than 1%..

best regards
CROSSY

Dalsa's competitor Nasdaq: OVTI was upgraded and shot up from $2 to $10. IF Dalsa that has a better fundamental position gets similar valuations (PSR of 5-6) then DSA.TO would trade at $50.. (CAn$)
