I am totally amazed regarding the lack of knowledge in the sector many analysts cover.

This is from Robertson Stephenson's Internet Stock Team:

"ASHFORD GETS CREDIT
In what may be a first for an eConsumer company, Ashford.com
literally got credit -- a three-year, $25-million line from
Congress Financial Corp. This is significant because it allows
Ashford to access cash, if necessary, without selling equity at
the current depressed level."

I would think they would be aware that Amazon had a line of credit in the amount of $75 million in 1997 and that Amazon used the first junk bond offering to pay off that line of credit. Amazon was in default regarding some of the restrictions on the line although not in default in payments.
