Pravin,

AMD's new transistor could also be matched with SOI for additional performance and power reduction.

If have seen patent titles which claim to solve "floating body effects" by attach a contact to it so it does not float anymore.
This seems to possible with the same process steps.
At the other hand: IBM say that they exploit the floating body effect of partially depleted SOI to get higher currents and better performance.
