As Mr. Burns would say, "Eeeeexcellent!!". This is smoking-gun type proof that even Jacobs knows the cause is as good as lost.

My rule #1: When someone tells you to move shares into a non-marginable account, make sure that non-marginable account is someone else's.

Cliff,

There is a partial page ad in this mornings WSJ
by corporate raider Irwin Jacobs, Requesting that all shareholders contact their brokerage houses and request that stock not be lent out for shorting purposes.

If you have a margin account, you have signed a document that allows the brokerage to loan your shares.

If the shares are in a margin account it really does not matter whether or not you request your shares not be borrowed.

You have lost your right to choose.

If you wish to remove your shares from the pool, you must move them to a cash account.

Do you have the clout? Or the cash?

Have fun,
Phil

Jacobs is a joke and a has-been, in His humble opinion.
