Mike, I wish I had the guts to do that. I only just a couple of days ago went short a few things....still just a newbie when it comes to the Dark Side. I did recognize the peak of earnings season and took a bunch of profits into it, but of course kept trying to make a few more plays the following week which didn't work out as well. I really need to transfer my thinking much quicker, however. For example, I rode KEI up for about 15 points getting out at 90, and I should have, if not immediately, but within a few days gone short. It's now at HALF of what I sold it for. I would have had more gains riding it down. So I need to constantly remind myself, if I don't want a long position in the stock, then to look at it for a possible short position. So many lessons...maybe someday they will start to sink in <g>.
