You're right. Have you noticed the media isn't running all those stories about how a sitting VP rarely succeeds directly to the Presidency? George H.W. Bush was the exception - all precedent VP's since Van Buren lost on succession. No Dem since VB - how many years? The difference is that people wanted a third Reagan term. And they don't want a third Clinton term - every poll says so. How can the media be missing that story? I guess we'll hear it when they try to explain AlGore the Junior's loss in November.
