rydad: I'm one (LTB&H) ... and ...I agree that this is 'traditional,' if you will. We've been talking about potential 'bloodbath' in August since at least May on this board. At the Porch Party, MUCH discussion focused on this 'probability,' rather than 'possibility.' This is what I think. Need to get to the Aug Fed meeting. Regardless of if they raise another quarter point or not, I think there will be a 'relief' rally. At THAT POINT, I'm going to be prepared -- strictly as a hedge -- to short the QQQ. Throughout, I'm continuing to hold long the following stocks, which I've held anywhere from 2.5 to about 4 years: AMAT DELL CSCO INTC SUNW MSFT WCOM IBM GE GBLX (have held about one year) TXN (leaps ... " ") MOT (leaps ... " ") Will contine to hold 200 sh RMBS; and am aggressively buying 01 calls on it as well. Right now. I want badly to add NTAP again at least as a trader. Am treating RFMD same (as a stock and option trading position). Don't know if any of you have any UITs. And mutual funds. I do -- the trust are in bandwidth and 'Net. MFs primarily tech. Have had the MFs 5 years. I guess about 25% of my total holdings are MFs and UITs. In IRAs. I never fool with them. LOL ... probably 'way more info than you were seeking here this morning ... sorry! PS: I can't seem to make a good decision regarding JDSU to save my 'soul.' <g> Which says to me, "leave it alone, bonnuss. You have simply missed out on this particular stock." Best Regs, "b-i-a" ###
