Carol,

I had noticed your post of 7/15 asking whether others were going to be attending the Annual Meeting. Where my wife & I live is just too far away to be able to attend and we very much appreciate your making the effort on our behalf to do so.

Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Carol. You added many very important items my brief report left out. You must have been taking notes <ggg>.

I left the meeting feeling they are in the right spot with the right offerings at the right time and all they are need is Execution!

Re: I don't feel they need a PR machine, all they need to do is execute their plan and the stock price will follow.

Carol,

I agree that if WIND executes their plan the stock price will ultimately follow. However in the mean time WIND is down from a recent high of $43 (or $66) to $29. The Nasdaq has only been down in the last two days but WIND has been down for the past 4-5 weeks !!! When spending money on PR you have to look at the ROI (Return On Investment). Arguably if WIND had a little more PR the stock price would not be at $29 !!!

So what's the ROI ? Well the company would have a much higher market cap (perhaps $500-$750 million higher) which comes in handy for acquisitions etc. We as investors would be better off. The employees of WIND would be better off and the investing community in general would be much better educated about one of the best stories on Wall street.

WIND should no longer be associated with coffee machines or alarm clocks as it tends to be (no disrespect to coffee machines or alarm clocks) but rather WIND should be associated with "State of the Art" server I/O subsystems, present and next generation routers, xDSL/cable modems, switches etc. WIND is the "OS in the Internet" NOT the "OS in your bedroom!!!".

Regards
JC.

Carol, What did you think of WIND's response to cfoe's question at the Annual Meeting about wireless computing in general and Qualcom in particular ?
